Did You Know
... that Dexter is *almost* as tall as Wootie?
Say whuuuut?
He's at that awkward stage where his hind end is taller than his front, but were he level he'd be the same height at the shoulders as The Woo.
Gettin' bigger all the time!
ETA - I have removed every posted comment pertaining to Sean and his return on the last entry, including my own. Quite frankly, I don't feel like giving certain commentators an audience - this is not the venue for that. It's not Craigslist or some other similar receptacle for peoples' lunacy.
Any further comments on that topic will be summarily deleted. Dexter is super cute, that's the point of the blog. Talk about *that* all you want.
Don't make me moderate the comments, okay?

Too Little, Too Late
I know I am supposed to take a photo every day, but periodically time just gets away from me and a couple of days will pass without me managing to find the time to do it.
Fortunately, while Dexter is growing fast, he doesn't change *that* much from day to day. So here are 3 photographs from this afternoon - use your imagination and pretend they were taken over a 3 day span.
Here's what Dexter would have looked like on SUNDAY, if he had been playing with The World's Most Obnoxious Squeaky Ball, courtesy of Auntie Robyn, who bought it only to torture me.
Here's what he would have looked like yesterday whilst "hiding" behind a blade of grass so he could sneak up on Piper without her noticing.
And here's what he looked like this afternoon, while hanging out in my driveway looking like a grown up dog! (and waiting for me to get my shit together for our afternoon walkies)
For Christmas this year we got the regrettable 'gift' of the return of one of Dexter's brothers on Christmas Eve :( I feel like I failed the little guy by placing him with anyone who would just hand him back two months later. I promised each puppy a forever home, and that didn't happen for this one, so I feel like I let him down. We have renamed him Sean and he'll be up for adoption again shortly.
If you want your very own Dex Bro, send me an email and tell me a little about yourself, and I'll tell you more about Sean and the kind of home he needs. I WILL be extraordinarily picky about his next placement.

So Happy Together
Dexter and Ginny had a play date.
They have so much in common.
Dexter has a tennis ball
Ginny has a Flying Squirrel
They both love to play
And jump (and scare the bejesus outta Wootie)
And run
But there's one thing Ginny has that Dexter does not.
Coordination.
Poor Dexter
Ginny recently found the operating manual for her legs. She is super fast, and can corner on a dime. Poor Dexter is still flying blind, and those long legs get all tangled up on him.
Gin is lovely, even if this photo suggests otherwise ;-)

Move over, Molly
Red Hawt Chili is in da howse!
This is Dexter's newest lady love. She is 10 week old Texas Chili.
Dexter's on fire for her.
She is full of piss and vinegar!
Dexter really enjoys having someone his own size (sort of - look how HUGE he looks compared to her!) to frolic with, since he's always been the baby of whatever bunch he happens to be hanging out with.
What? Too domineering?
She doesn't let him get away with too much. She knows to keep her man in check.
This one's going to grow up to be a heart breaker.
How is it possible for me to have puppy envy when I *have* a puppy already?

We are experiencing technical difficulties
And I know I owe you two photos from the weekend. Having some computer trouble, but will backdate the updates soon!
In the meantime, as I slave away at the typing box, I bribe Dexter for some peace with a beef rib bone in his crate.
This is the look I get when I ask him if he wants to come out, and can I have the bone back.

You're nuts
Meets his cousin Hayden for the first time, decides to pretend he doesn't see that Hayden is a whacko
What a polite boy! NOT.
My little, cute, well mannered puppy has morphed into a bratty, obstinate adolescent, literally overnight! He took a dump on my bed, he chomped my foot when I ignored him and he tried countersurfing; he snarked at Mr. Woo over a box of chicken and made a rude gesture at the cat. Seriously, he's gone bad!
