Are you sure he's not a cat? Maybe he's secretly hanging out with Donut too much? Our neighborhood tomcat used to constantly stalk birds and whatever else like that :)
Our Rosie does the same thing - hides behind something while waiting for the ball. All the habits Dexter has seem to be just like Rosie at the same age. So yes, in my mind he's normal!
My dog, ICE, does the same thing. He stalks and tries to herd the other dogs. One of the issues we are having with trying to get him trained for flyball is this strong herding trait he has. Little by little, though, we are working through it. When I took him to a herding lesson, he had no interest at all. Nice to know there are other dogs out there like mine.
It is dumbfounding that he doesn't want to herd sheep. That dog has some serious drive!
ReplyDeleteninja puppy!

ReplyDeleteHe just wants to be a grass snake...I think that Dex has some identity issues ;)
ReplyDeleteI second sluj's comment.

ReplyDeleteIt *is* funny, no question!
Hee Hee! What else is there to say? You rock, Dexter!
ReplyDeleteNope, you're right he's not normal. Maybe you need to find a new home for him. You could send him my way!
