Brothers and Sisters V

Sister Ally
Ally03

"Ally is 35 lbs and measures 22 inches (from floor to shoulder) – she is long and lean. Her fur is very wavy and her tail fur is long and fluffy. She has very uppity ears. We thought we had smart border collies before – but Ally is unbelievable. Ally has quite a personality – she likes to squeak when she yawns and rolls over on to her back when she is sleeping.

She isn’t the least bit graceful for a girl – she just flops down like a sack of potatoes when she’s tired and runs and down the stairs like an elephant. Her eyes have so much expression because the white shows quite a bit.

We absolutely love, love, love her! We feel so blessed to have adopted such a wonderful puppy. Thank you so much!"

  1. How great to see Ally! I'm surprised at her uppy ears... of all the girls we thought Gin (Patty) was the one that would be uppy. Soooo, if I've got it straight, the earsets are: Sagan, Ally, & Cricket are uppy; Gin, Ace, Hoot & Paddy are floppy; and Dexter is one up/one down. I LOVE THEM ALL! How fun to see them at 9 months. Will we have a reunion at the B.C./Yukon Regionals?

  2. Wow! Hoot is 22" and 43 Lbs, and I thought he was lean! I did, apparently, get the huge sibling... unless Ace happens to also be ginormous.

I love seeing all the sibs- I recognize each and every expression on their faces. Like Ally, Hoot squeaks when he yawns (and when he's bored) so much his nickname is Squeaky. He also sleeps on his back. I still wish Hoot had prick ears, but his half-flopped ears are so comical!

  3. Ally is absolutely gigantic for a girl BC! And regal - I thought of that word before I read Mary's comment. She's a beaut.

  4. Oh, my word, she's lovely. And look at those decorously crossed front paws!

  5. How tall were the parents?

  6. We have a collie shepherd X (also a TDBCR alumni!) who also squeaks when he yawns. But only when he feels he has something important to say. :)

  7. That was my initial reaction too, she is very REGAL!

  8. Is she hiding a mouse under her ruff? You can see its outline and even its little foot on her leg. Ha Ha ha.

Other than that, regal is the right word for her and I love the crossed paws. Rio always did that and everyone commented on how elegant he looked.
